December is Seasonal Depression Awareness Month

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that is characterized by a seasonal pattern of symptoms.  SAD is also known as seasonal depression or winter depression.

Symptoms: SAD symptoms include mood changes, headaches, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, and difficulty concentrating.  Symptoms usually occur in the fall and winter, and improve in the spring.
